A huge field of runners took to the two routes on offer, some rather sneaky instructions lead a few astray, with two passes through the first wood on the same path (with different instructions) and two passes through the second wood on different paths. Apologies to those who didn't hear that the tape had been replaced by flour. Well done to the long route winners Allen and Vicky and the short route winners Ian and Anna. A great turnout today in the spring sunshine at the Cattawade Crown, Brantham with 50 participants on the short course and 25 tackling the 9 mile route in the heat. A few found the second woodland section challenging – but that at least gave them longer to admire the stunning bluebells! Congratulations to Roy and Allen who were first home in the 5.5 and 9 miles respectively and to Jenny and Lynn who were the first lady finishers in each race.
